Salzburg is a city of façades in mineral colours: ochre, oxblood, pale green, a hundred shades of white. Walk across the Staatsbrücke in the last light and the whole palette we work with is already there.
Photographing the city is a way of keeping a colour library. Most of the tones in our hotel projects were first noticed on a wall somewhere in the old town — and only later mixed for a room.
Imagery that belongs to a brand starts the same way: not with a mood board, but with looking.
